Free internet, cleanliness of rooms and comfort of bed .Hotel was expensive in US National or international terms, but reasonable in NY terms and is very well located.

Very little support form reception (I had a delayed bag situation with airline and wanted the deliverer to sign acknowldging day/time it actually arrived (required by my insurance), but they couldn't manage it,.In general they were not unhelpful, but reception was barricaded behind barriers and they did minimum necessary.Rooms did not have clocks nor coffee makers

reception attended didnt help me while leaving hotel for taxi ı left with luggages and it was really hard to find a taxi in street with luggages

I had a newly renovated room. The amenities ranged from the wonderufully high-end (large flat screen TV, bed, shower) to the cheap and nasty (the wardrobe, bathroom countertop) but everything worked fine and the room was immaculately clean, exceptionally quiet (in the back of the building) and comfortable.

For the money, in this location, this is an excellent value. Someone who is not familiar with New York eccentricities may be a bit shocked, but there was nothing to deter me from recommending the hotel.

As this was a budget hotel we had pretty low expectations before we went. However we found it defintely exceeded expectations. The room was small but pleasant & very clean. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in a hotel. The en suite was small but again clean with a great shower. Staff friendly & efficient. Fantastic location for sight seeing. Great low budget option for NY.
