Located next to the Gloucester Road underground station in fashionable South Kensington the hotel allows for easy access to all London attractions. It is just a short walk to Harrods and the prestigious shopping district of Knightsbridge as well as Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, Earl's Court and Olympia Exhibition Centres and the Natural History Museum.

The hotel is comprised of five interconnected, beautifully renovated, Georgian style townhouses. All the rooms are air-conditioned and include an en-suite bathroom, laptop sized safe, work desk, telephone and more

Set in Kensington, London, this classic Victorian style hotel, which has been restored to its original charm, offers 117 rooms with a choice ranging from single to family rooms.

In addition, the hotel has recently refurbished their conference room. With its modern interior, choice of audio/ visual equipment and in-house catering, it makes an ideal location for small meetings or conferences (maximum 35 people).

Please note that the hotel is primarily non-smoking. Smoking rooms are provided on a request basis only and cannot be guaranteed.

Food & beverage

Kensington is famous for numerous pubs and a wide range of cuisines to fit any budget.

The bar with big screen TV is located just off the lobby, and is a perfect spot for meeting friends and relaxing over a beer or cocktail, either before or after your sightseeing, excursions, or business in London. Open 16:00 to late.

Area information

The hotel is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 200 metres from Gloucester Road underground station.

The Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museums are 400 metres away.

Kensington Palace/Gardens (500 metres), Harrods and King's Road (both 1 km) are also within easy reach.

Close to underground, the breakfast was good one and staff in dining
room were very nice.

No easy access for pushchair of infant for many rooms. So there is need
to access storage room each time in or out

It was in a good location - easy access to the tube station and the rest of London. It was also very quiet.

The bathroom floor was never cleaned in the three days that we were there. Housekeeping was poor.

Easy to find from the Tube station

Didnt think it warranted £127 per night, room a bit shabby, and bar shut
at 11pm on Saturday night.

I asked to move rooms away from the top floor as I thought I could hear

Location was concenient to transportation.

Staff seemed a little inexperienced and not very familiar with the
location regarding giving directions.

The comfort of the room

The sink and bath in the room was not the best . The sink enamel was
cracked and didnt look nice and possibly could be unhygienic

There was a shortage of food at breakfast on both days. The kettle in my
room was rusted inside. There was dirty water left in it. On the morning
of checkout we were woken at 8 am to allow it to be cleaned

Ease of access to Earls Court

Room was small and basic and looked on to a shappy and dirty rear yard. Breakfast was ok but chaotic and not enough staff but those that were on duty were very polite and helpful

All of the staff were very keen to help with any matter, even down to giving us an extra bin bag when we were sorting out to go home. The breakfast was fantastic.
