Elegant and cosy design hotel in Barcelona’s city centre, a step away from Ramblas, Gothic Quarter and Gaudi’s most emblematic buildings, with all the modern comforts and a lovely rooftop pool and terrace with views over the city.

The hotel is located in Casa Fradera, an historic building dating from 1882, with the interiors restored in 2007 and where tradition and avant-garde coexist happily together.

Our attentive staff, elegant rooms with marble bathrooms and Wi-Fi in all areas and rooms, will all contribute to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.

Guests booking now for stays before the 7 January 2009 all receive a free gift of Enric Rovira designer chocolates. These special chocolates feature the unique paving stone motifs seen on Barcelona’s prestigious streets.

Please note that the car park will be closed between November and February.

All rooms offer modern facilities, including 26-inch, plasma-screen TVs with a range of international channels, and laptop-sized safes. All have Italian marble bathrooms with amenities designed by Javier Mariscal. Classic furnishings are made with African Bubinga wood.

Area information

Situated in Gran Vía, right in the centre of Barcelona, and very close to the most emblematic Gaudí's buildings, the mythical Ramblas and the Gothic quarter.

The closest metro station is Girona. Outside the hotel there is a taxi rank.

Also, the beautiful new beaches of Barcelona are just 4 metro stations away from the hotel (10 minutes). The airport is 15 minutes by car.

the quietness was very pleasant in the evenings after a long day out

good central location. amenities good except there were no ironing facilities in room. comfortable bed and reasonably quiet at night.

on 4 occasions we were unable to get the key-card to work to get into room and had to go back to reception. One morning on returning to our room after breakfast the maid had just started to mop the floor of the bathroom. We both needed to use the bathroom and waited for her to leave but she did not and instead completed a full programme of cleaning in the room while we remained in it.

Location was good. Room was nicely appointed.

Our room was on the front of the hotel, beside a very busy street. Quite noisy at night.

The Hotel was everything we were hoping for and utterly unlike some of the disturbing comments we reviewed on some websites prior to going

Only small problem was getting the coffee pots at the morning breakfast to be hot enough.
